Derived from the Babchi plant, often called the Miracle Plant. Bakuchiol is nature’s answer to retinol, without the harsh side effects. Known as the “gentle retinol,” with time it helps with anti-aging benefits like smoother skin, reduced fine lines, and improved tone without the dryness or irritation.

WHAT IS IT: Bakuchi oil (Babchi oil) is an ayurvedic herb, native to Sri Lanka and India, it is renowned to be a highly effective herb for the skin. It is naturally rich in the powerful antioxidant "Bakuchiol", a strong anti-ager.

SKIN TYPE: Most skin types, combination and problematic skin. Not for sensitive skin.
SMELLS LIKE: a very nutty earthy aroma
GOOD TO KNOW* This is a dark oil but doesn't stain the skin, allow it time to absorb into the skin. Use only a few drops at a time.

The Daily Ritual

On clean skin, after cleansing apply 3-4 drops on your fingertips & press both hands together a few times then gently massage all over your face. Oils will melt into your skin. Use in the morning and evening. Do not use in the sun without applying SPF on top of the oil, could cause photosensitivity in direct sunlight

Good oil

This is a good oil, I use it like a serum. My skin is brighter and more even toned. It lightly hydrates, I need to apply another oil on top of it for more hydration, other than that I feel it working

My skin reacts negatively to a lot of products, but not with this. In general my skin feels smoother and better moisturizing since I began using it.

Finally can review fully

This is my 2nd time buying this (1st time was maybe 2 years ago?) and I can finally review it fully having used it for well over a year. On the downside, this has a tint to it (naturally-occurring, I'm sure) and I initially stained a lot of white sheets, clothing, tissues, pillows, comforter, etc. until I figured this out. It can be tricky because once it's on your face, staining items is unavoidable so you might choose not to wear it overnight like I did. One other note, I loved the old bottle better. It was taller and thinner, this new one is short and thicker and doesn't fit on my bathroom shelf so easy. On the positives, the bottle lasted a long time, the tint gives you a nice "sun-kissed glow" (many compliments on my glow from others), and the oil is hydrating but not overly so. It works summer and winter for me, high humidity or low. Anti-aging effects? Maybe. I know I like how my skin looks overall and haven't used retinol consistently since starting breastfeeding and babies around 4 years ago. I would recommend this oil to others.

Perfect Bakuchiol

As an over 50 year old woman I was encouraged to use retinol to help turn back the hands of time. For the life of me I couldn’t tolerate retinol, retinale, tretinoin or any derivative. My esthetician recommended Bakuchiol and I found my sweet spot. This oils leaves my skin so glowy and youthful! I just ordered 2 more bottles during the sale. I’m extremely pleased
